I think it's only fair to bring some balance to the first reviewer of this product. I have taken this to the range and have used this with my 10.5" AR-15 pistol and have been pleased with the results. I used a dab of blue loctite for the picatinney rail so that the optic would stay firmly clamped in place and after 3 (30) round magazines, it's served me good thus far. The illumination is day light bright on the top 2-3 settings. Has an etched reticle too. The maker is fairly obscure but seems to making quality products. I also own one of their nicer red dots...can't recall which model but it too has done good atop another .223/5.56 build. I used my Optic Planet bucks and other promos to get mine down to about $108 with shipping and it seems to be a fair value for what I received. The only recommendation I would like to make is for them to upgrade the mount screws and I would love to see a couple of QD clamps instead. On the fence, just get it and if you really can't stand it, OP will give you your money back!

When I received the optic and opened the package I was at first pleased with the external appearance, as well as the clarity of the glass. But that’s where it stopped. The reticle is crooked within the optic, and the mounting fixture is weak. The floor plate screws started to walk themselves out after 1 magazine of 55g 5.56.. never purchasing anything from vector optics again
