Installed this on a 10/22 with a Hogue stock, big mistake. Once installed, the action/stock fit was very sloppy, and would rock fore & aft over the top of the escutcheon. This is not a substitute for pillar bedding. The rest of the kit is comprised of two small foam rubber pads that you can get at a hardware store for pennies. These may or may not have some benefit, in my experience, on their own with dampening barrel vibrations and increasing accuracy, but this kit is a waste of time and money in my experience.
