This is a very well made item. That's immediately obvious when you handle it. Heavy metal construction unlike the OEM plastic one. Installation is simple. If you do get confused theirs videos on the net to walk you through. I have only had a chance to test fire the gun a couple of times after installing it. It functioned normally with rated trigger pull weight. I will withhold my final rating until I get a chance to put a few hundred rounds through it to see if I have any of the light primer strikes that some others have reported. Assuming I don't have any light primer strikes I would 100% recommend this as a very good (but unreasonably expensive) upgrade to your PC carbine. I understand this item has been discontinued by the manufacturer. That's something to keep in mind if you ever needed customer support... their probably wont be any.
one last note: If you have an aftermarket recoil buffer (like the one Mcarbo makes) you'll have to take it out and put the stock one back in or this trigger group wont work properly.
Cons:
- Expensive
- possible light primer strikes
Best Used for:
- better trigger pull and accuracy

A very nice trigger for the money. It's a great improvement over OEM. Plus, it's a very simple drop installation. I'm using the trigger in my PC carbine for steel challenge in western NY state. A good Safe Act compliant option.

Purchased TG9 Trigger Assy. had it installed with some other upgrade parts. One of the parts was a MCarbo Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer pad
Contacted Volquartsen and it appears there is a known issue with the MCarbo Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer Pad interfering the the TG9 Trigger assy operation causing the intermtent trigger reset issues
Pros:
- good workmenship
- 2.5 lb trigger pull Crisp
Cons:
- Does not work reliably with MCarbo Shock Buffer Pad

What an amazing trigger group this is, and easy to adjust and install! Construction is solid, durable, and responsive. While I'd be hesitant to install it in a PDW as the trigger is light, I believe it perfect in a fun plinker or competition carbine.
Pros:
- easy to adjust
- responsive
- Aestetically pleasing
- Solid well built
- easy to install
- Easy to put on and take off
Cons:
- not suitable for self defense
Best Used for:
- fun
- accuracy
- competative shooting

This was a great upgrade to an already good rifle. Smooth short pull with a crisp break... very easy to get accurate double taps off! It’s my favorite rifle to shoot now that it has such a good trigger.

Installed new trigger in Ruger pc 9 charger. Feels good but having light strikes 3 out of 21 round mag. This did not happen before with OEM trigger. Also measured pull is 3 lbs instead of 2.25 lbs shown in description. I have other volquartsen products which are good. However this trigger is a let down. Contacted customer service. See what they can do.

I just got a chance to run a couple hundred rounds though my Ruger Carbine last weekend and this trigger breaks at just the right time to ease my slight shake caused by exerting too much pressure on the pull. It works much better than stock. Now I will rebuild the stock trigger to a similar 2.25lb break and have a backup just in case. This is all going as planned and expected. Took me literally 5 minutes to install with no issues. Time will tell the story here but I am impressed with the machining tolerances and quality of this trigger.
Best Used for:
- accuracy for both long and short distances

If you are use to using a volquartsen on you ruger 10/22 than this is the trigger group for you. I have had mine on for over 500 rounds and no light strikes and performs flawlessly. Easy installation and great trigger release and reset. The fit and finish are excellent. Don't be shy order it and you will love it too.
Pros:
- Great trigger breaks good and feels great.
Cons:
- None at this time, 500 rounds in have yet to have an issue
