Most Helpful Positive Review Reliability is Paramount!
My recent experience with Leupold has made me a Vortex customer for life! I've always used both Leupold and Vortex on a variety of rifles. Vortex has proven to be supreme. This particular scope is by far the best bang for the buck. The clarity, weight and reliability is excellent. But what I love most is the simplicity of the Dead Hold Reticle. It's just works for all age hunters. My annual out of state hunting trip came, and while siting in my new Browning 308 X-Bolt, my new, out of the box Leupold lost focus and became inoperable. Viper HD 3-15-44

I purchased several viper hs 2.5-10-44 a few years back on recommendation from vortex tech staff and love them. I purchased my first viper hd 3-15-44 last year, great glass, simple reticle, dial turret w / resettable zero, parallax and eye box adj., illuminated. Simply checks all the boxes, a complete product. Mounted it on an xbolt chambered in 6.8 Western, zeroed at 100yds, 1/2” groups, dialed out to 550yds, 3 consecutive shots on steel, dialed back to 100yd zero and shot another 1/2” group on target. Does all I need. Ordering another today for my new Christiansen Evoke in 7mm BC

Vortex Viper uses

The reticle was a bit too thick for my taste so I had to return it. However, everything else about the scope was done well. Turrets and feel of magnification knobs and distances were spot on. If you are looking for a deer rifle only at closer ranges it would be great.

Can't beat it for price

I've been a Vortex fan boy for awhile after owning leupolds, burris, meopta and athlons. What's great is a red dot for low light due a fine reticle that gets lost down here in Texas scrub brush. I sit behind spotting scope most of time so spend more money on that as the scope is temporary to make the dispatch.

This is one of my favorite budget optics. Glass is clear and I’ve bought 2 of them. May by a third. Just really fun to shoot with at the range. Great value for the price.

Wow. What a great scope. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone. Hunting or shooting. Scope does everything perfect. Great turrets. Tracks perfect. Glass is awesome.
