Duds's Review of Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50mm 30mm Tube First Focal Plane Rifle Scope

I own one Viper PST Gen II (mil) and three diamondback tacticals. As much as the diamondback tacts are amazing value, the Viper is worth the extra price. I can easily hit steel targets at 1000y with this Viper (I’m shooting a 6CM). The turret adjustments on this scope are much more confidence inspiring than the diamondback tacticals.
Pros:
  • Turret Feel
Cons:
  • Battery dies pretty fast (left it on one day and died)
Best Used for:
  • Long range shooting, PRS, etc
