I am a varmint shooter and long distance shooter. I only buy 2nd focal plane scopes, because of the size of the reticle not changing as the magnification is changed. I have 3 of these scopes, and they do well. I do not like the vortex 1st focal plane scopes.

Wonderful optic for reaching out to 1000 yards and under. Clear glass and makes tracking rounds easy. My only complaint is the slight complexity of adjusting zero stop. Other than that it’s a great scope for the price.

My son and I are planning to do some long‑range shooting, and after an exhaustive investigation and analysis, I settled on the Viper PST Gen II 5‑25x50mm, 30mm tube, first focal plane rifle scope. The reasons were straightforward: superior optical quality, strong feature set, and excellent value within its class. Better eye relief than eotech vudu 5x25

Shipped fast, good product. 1st focal plane mil dots. I like it compared to my h59 eotech vudu. My only complaint is there was no lever for magnification and I think a scope of that value should come with flip sights. Its clean glass. No complaints.
