Great Value for Ear Pro

by Matt S., Gear Expert from IL, United States Written on May 25, 2018
I really like using ear buds as much as possible so I am not switching ear pro between rifles and pistols.

For the money, these are great.

I get the best sound exclusion with the largest plugs but the medium are the most comfortable and still keep my hearing safe.

I was worried the small controls would be hard to manipulate, but havent had an issue yet. Slider switch turns them on and a chime confirms they are working. Small dial on each one controls volume. The ambient pickup is pretty good when they are turned all the way up.

Nice case to keep them in and spare batteries included.

Overall a very nice, effective set of electronic ear bud protection.
Most Helpful Positive Review Battery life
I do not have a pair of these but reading the reviews I see people having an issue with battery life. I have worn hearing aids for many years and have gained a bit of knowledge about the type of batteries used in these devices. First, if these are using the type battery where you peel the little t...

Most Helpful Negative Review They work at least
So I bought a pair for my girl and I. Sometimes at a match it’s nice to to have the overhead ear muffs on and that’s why I bought them. Having said that hear is my complaints. Sound quality is ok. My Howard leights for $60 are much better. The rubber ear inserts break/crack fairly early on. Worst pa...

Walkers silencer ear plugs

by Dirt kicking Dan, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on July 17, 2024
Very sorry I wasted my money on these. They fit terribly and have poor battery life. I could have bought a quality set of range muffs for that kind of money. Pain and money are the best teachers.

No customer service from walkers (gsm outdoors)

by Henry Swanson, from IL, United States Written on October 1, 2023
Bought walkers silencer ear buds. From day one they only worked for 5 minutes before starting to make odd noise then shutting down before 10 minute mark. Tried all 4 batteries they provided and bought a dozen more to try. Nothing made a difference. Contacted gsm outdoors (walkers owner) and they said they would do a return label. Over a month later no response and no label provided.
DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!
Pros:
  • Non known
Cons:
  • Don't work
  • No customer service from maker

Walkers Silencer in ear plugs

by JeffD., from NJ, United States Written on April 12, 2021
Pretty amazing how well these work once you get the fitment right. It's nice not having a head set in the way of a rifle stock, or needing to remove and replace every time someone at the range wants to talk. Hearing is pretty normal since each ear bud has its own microphone to pick up sound. These may not have Bluetooth but I don't go to a range to listen to music.
Pros:
  • Fairly normal hearing when in
Cons:
  • Getting them in your ear a pain sometimes
Best Used for:
  • The range with friends when you need to communicate

Walkers Silencer R600 earbuds

by Sam, from MD, United States Written on December 2, 2020
I have owned this product for less than two years and they are already useless. They power down in less than 1.5 hours without using the Bluetooth function. Walkers advertises 14 hrs without Bluetooth and 4 hrs with. I will not purchase any Walkers game ear product in the future and would recommend the same for anyone reading this review.

First time user

by Bigun, from KS, United States Written on December 1, 2020
Comfortable and easy to put in. The noise suppression is as advertised. The sound magnifying aspect works well on a quiet day but wind noise can be substantial as windspeed increases. The magnified sounds such as gravel crunch and the rustle of leaves take getting used to. Your own voice will sound muffled to you.
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • reasonable cost
Cons:
  • Wind noise
Best Used for:
  • Gunrange

Easy to use, and works great!

by Wplunkett, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on October 18, 2020
I purchased the walker silencer eat pro, and am really impressed. If you shoot rifles and don’t want to worry about your over-ear pro from messing with your shot, these are great. Sound amplification is great and they protect the same as over ear pro. They come with foams and fins for small, medium & large ears and extra batteries.

Not bad, but pricey for what you get

by Randy, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 27, 2020
These work okay, but for the price, I’d recommend saving a little extra and getting ones that are rechargeable. I go to the range maybe every couple weeks so I have to change the batteries every time I go since they use hearing aid batteries. Really wish I would have read more about them before I bought these. Sound quality id rate about a 3 out 5.
Pros:
  • Not hot like muffs
  • Easy to store, fits in your pocket
Cons:
  • Constant battery change out
  • For the price I expected more
  • Not worth it for a quick session
Best Used for:
  • When you need ear pro all day I.e a class or a match

Decent Hearing Protection

by Oregon Mark, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on January 30, 2020
I have a distinct hearing loss in my left ear and loss to a lesser extent in my right from several years of loud noises, both firearms related and not. I've spent a few range days with these in, and was pleasantly surprised. They were comfortable to wear, i could clearly hear ambient noises around me, and they did cut the shooting noise down a decent bit. While they recommend changing the batteries after each day, I've been able to get a couple of days out of one set. i worried that the controls would be difficult to manipulate since they, but again was pleasantly surprised that they are not.

My minus one star relates back to the short battery life and the hassles in carrying spares and replacing them.
Pros:
  • compact
  • Works as advertised
  • Conveinent to carry
  • nice to be able to turn or tilt your head without losing sound suppression integrity
Cons:
  • short battery life
  • hassle to change out batteries
  • does not cut out noise like a good set of over the ear muffs
Best Used for:
  • All round shooting
