Upon. Purchasing several Colt revolvers. I noticed a problem that seems inherent to Colts snake guns. The rear sight on all my revolvers from Colt have excessive play side to side. Great quality, easy to install. I got the version with the U notch. Much simpler to adjust than the rear sight that comes with the revolver.

Too expensive

I had to grind, to install it, the original brokent with the first hammer blow. The sight clearence need to be smaller.

Wilson rear sights

I installed these sites on my modern-day Colt Python, they are not only incredibly well machined they require nothing to adjust but a screwdriver. You will need a 39 punch which is relatively the size of a sewing machine needle. Installation is quick and easy. After adjusting the sites at the gun range, that's 65 ft I can hit a target the size of a silver dollar.

The stock Colt rear iron sights on the new model Python are poorly executed. These Wilson sights are the answer. Easy to install, positive click adjustment, great sight picture, and durable.
