First time out got a small buck. 26" length seems a good fit but I personally wouldn't go any shorter. Shot paper 3 times and it shoots straight but the 00 buckshot bottom of pattern is at the top of the sight at 40 yds. Little higher than I like but I think it's designed that way. 3 chokes came with it. It performs as expected.
