Zeiss Conquest Riflescope Sunshade
This is supposed to fit the new Terra riflescopes, but it doesn't fit properly. I called Zeiss, and sent them photographs of the sunshade mounted on the scope, and it doesn't thread on all the way. Perfect fit
Many who buy this shade whine since it doesn't fit the HD5. The same thing happens on Amazon - downgrade the product because you, the buyer, cannot read. Product is excellent as are all Zeiss offerings - an easy 5 star rating.

Sunshade is a sunshade
Great quality although I am a meticulous person and was surprised to see the the sunshade isn't an exact color match with the factory scope. Found that strange. The sunshade seems a bit lighter and more glossy than factory scope .

Long range
Hard to find item in stores. Optics Planet came through again. This shade is for the Zeiss ZR1000 scope. Great price and great service. I have bought from Optics Planet in the past and no store or web site compares. They are always available to answer questions without transferring you to six other people. The absolute best price from anyone. Thank you PJ

Zeiss sunshade for the 50MM HD5 scopes
It seemed like this sunshade wasn't going to be put out by Zeiss. Optics finally got some in and I have to say that it fit perfect to my Conquest HD5 5-25x50 scope and looks great on the scope. I recommend this Scope and sunshade to help keep stray light from entering the objective end of the scope. I highly recommend Optic planet.com to offer quality products at good prices. PS If you are interested on scope lens covers the i'd recommend the Butler creek 44 OBJ and 19 EYE.

Nice Sunshade
This is a real nice sunshade.
Fits perfectly on the scope.
Note: There is a ring on the front objective of the scope that must be removed, to expose the threads that the sunshade will install into....
These sunshades will gang together also. This sunshade is about 3" long.
I was imagining it to be longer.... I may end up getting 2 more, and putting them together.
After you are done installing the sunshade, the ring you removed will fit on the front of the sunshade, to give you the perfect "finished" look....

I know, this item is a little pricey, but if you look around, the Nikon & Leupold ones are not cheap either.
I like Sunshades to a) protect the objective end of the scope, and b)to prevent the heat mirage that will come up off the rifle, ruining your view through the scope.

this sunshade does everything it is suppose to by blocking stray light which can make image fuzzy and gathers light from more down range giving you a sharper image
