There are tons of AR15 buffer assemblies available for your rifle, depending on your goals for the firearm and how you want to build it. From pistol caliber carbines to self-defense rifles and long-range hunting setups, our AR buffer tube kits can help you fine-tune your build so that it has precise recoil control and length to give you the most accurate and comfortable shooting experience possible. We carry all of the most popular brands of gear, including JP Silent buffer spring kits, Maxim Defense buffer tube kits, Aero Precision AR buffer kits, and other AR buffer assemblies, giving you plenty of options to complete your build and finish the perfect rifle for your needs. We also sell individual buffer tube extension kits and fully assembled buffers to make installing or modifying your firearm as easy as possible. These AR15 buffer tube kits let you modify how the firearm handles recoil and allows the installation of different stocks and braces, so you can adjust how the firearm fits with your shooting style. You can even increase the overall length of your rifle with an extension for your buffer assembly, which can give you a lot more control over the weapon when shooting from a prone position.image

What Is the Difference Between H1 and H2 Buffers?

The primary difference is the weights used inside of them. An H1 buffer uses two steel weights and one tungsten weight, while the H2 uses one steel weight and two tungsten weights. Therefore, the H2 ends up weighing much more than the H1 and decreasing the overall felt recoil when you fire the weapon. Heavier buffers are better suited to larger caliber rifles and long-range firearms, as the weight helps you aim properly and the reciprocating mass helps feed rounds into the chamber during the loading cycle. We also have H3 buffer weights for sale if you need the heaviest buffer possible.

Can I Shoot My AR-15 Without a Buffer Tube?

Technically, yes you can. However, this is not recommended and makes the rifle much less useful. Without a buffer tube, the rifle will not fire semi-automatic properly. Instead, you'll have to load each round in manually with the charging handle, which essentially makes the AR15 a more complicated bolt-action rifle. Instead, if you're building a new rifle, carefully check AR buffer tube kits to find one that fits your shooting style and the caliber of the firearm. Check out our AR Buffer Tube Guide to learn more about their function and how to buy the best AR15 buffer tube kit for your firearm.
