It will compete head-to-head with the finest 5" to 6" state-of-the-art refractors that cost $5000+ on the USA market. I paid $500 for a used OTA, and got a telescope worth several times that amount. Along with the OTA, I got a really great 10X finder...

The ASTELE™ 150 OTA (Optical Tube Assembly) is an excellent astronomical telescope for observing the heavens. Its optical design is Maksutov Cassegrain. Its diffraction limited optics are multi-coated and make it a great instrument for doing astrophotography as well, delivering pin-point images over a 35mm format. If you're looking for a telescope that's easy to setup and has superb optics, the ASTELE™ 150 OTA is that and more. Ideal for the professional or advanced amateur. The ASTELE™ 150 OTA uses U.S. standard 1.25" O.D.-sized eyepieces (hundreds are available). Finish: black.image
