I looked at some cheaper Generation 1 Night vision and was not convinced until I actually stopped into Cabelas to see the difference.
This ships with a head mount that takes a bit to get used to a helmet mount would offer some more stability.

Highly recommend the NVGs; I recommend the upgraded arm for helmet mounting; I added a IR illuminator and this is functional out to 200 plus yards. The headset that comes with it is of little use, but helmets work well.
