Most Helpful Negative Review Didn't turn on and work
Took it out and put battery in and didn't work. Sent back and still haven't received a replacement. Still waiting for and new replacement to arrive and was told that they are supper busy and I need to be patient. Expensive item to not work.and they still have my money.

Amazing for the price

This PVS-7 clone has the clearest tubes i have looked through. On a clear night with a half moon out you can see 400m plus. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a set of NVGs that wont break the bank but will still be able to see everything.

Perfect NVG

These work as advertised! The only complaint is there is no vertical adjustment for the mount. The NVGs sit just below the eye line with this mount setup. Other than the mount the NVG work very well! The set I bought only have one artifact. For the price you can’t beat the quality.

Do You Need Much More?

I have not tried the high dollar versions of NV goggles but this ATN NVG7-2 set is very, very good. Plenty clear, plenty sharp, easy to put together and use. I set mine up with the included head gear. To get it all snug requires a little thinking and time but not much. If you buy a bump helmet it will make putting the goggles on and off a little quicker but you will still need to set up the helmet for best weight distribution. In this price category I don't think you can do better.

Love them, awesome

These are a great set! Great for scanning the night....they work perfectly. The head harness was difficult to set-up and is a bit too heavy to wear... but using these like hand held binoculars works easily. These might only be gen2 but they work wonderfully.

Great device and price point

Highly recommend the NVGs; I recommend the upgraded arm for helmet mounting; I added a IR illuminator and this is functional out to 200 plus yards. The headset that comes with it is of little use, but helmets work well.
Pros:
  • Cost; clarity

  • cheesy head mount

  • Boating

bad company

Worked well for about 4 months then the switch stopped working. Returning the item was like pulling teeth to get a return label, then they tell me it wasnt working because the sensor was picking up too much light... Funny seeing how I was in a PITCH BLACK ROOM EVERYTIME!!! ATN customer service is pretty bad to say the least, been dealing with them for a year now (you have been warned). Save the money and go with TNVC products.

Product was defective. ATN's customer service is terrible.

Received product with defective switch. ATN promised a return label over a week ago now, after numerous unanswered emails I called them out in a FB group and got one. Now two days later I haven't heard back about a label.. again.
Pros:
  • setting that does work looked promising.?
Cons:
  • received broken, terrible service from ATN
Best Used for:
  • A really really expensive paperweight

Excellent Value

Knowing nothing about NV goggles and did some research and went off reviews. This is probably the best value. I opted for the WP lights and it was awesome trying them out for the first time. I think they are maybe a little heavy for the headrest it comes with so that would be one con. It would probably be better to mount them on a helmet - which will be the next purchase.

Nice Equipment

I've put off buying night vision for years. This is very nice! I haven't tested it out at distance, but all the indications in total darkness inside of a home to outside at night with ambient light was VERY nice. It comes with a head mount which is fairly cheesy, but the mount is universal and fit some surplus helmets. I would definitely buy this again and actually may for some of my family members.

I haven't compared Gen 3, but this is MUCH nicer than Gen 1.

I intend to use it for night boating on Doctors Lake in Jacksonville.

Like the WPT image

Diopter adjustment knobs and focus adjuster are to big and to easily turned. When you pick this unit up or if someone hands it to you, you can't help grabbing some of the knobs and turning them out of focus, which you will then have to readjust each time.
Other than that, their great.
