An excellent tool for anu cutting task, the Boker Applegate LIMITED 10in Fixed Blade Smatchet 2.0 combines the characteristics of the legendary combat daggers with the components of psychological warfare, introduced primarily by the Khuris, the oversized combat knives of the Nepalese Ghurka troops. The result is a more than impressive knife that will muster extreme respect from any opponent. But the Boker USA Smatchet Knife is of course also designed for peaceful purposes and is exceedingly suited as a multi-functional outdoor tool. But it is most importantly a collector's item that should be a part of any high end knife collection. In contrast to previous versions, they took advantage of the opportunity on the limited special run Smatchet 2.0 to make several improvements - of course without changing the original design from Col. Rex Applegate. The blade steel was converted from 4034 to the modern, cobalt-alloyed Bohler N690. This dramatically improves edge retention and blade strength. The stonewash finish improves corrosion-resistance and gives the knife a modern outdoor feel. The handle scales are fabricated on a CNC mill from solid billets of black canvas Micarta, which significantly improves the grip and handling, primarily in wet conditions. Includes a premium, functional Cordura sheath. Limited to just 199 pieces worldwide.
