Beautifully done: perfect grind lines, shaving-sharp out of the box, hand-filling micarta handle, full tang. Beautiful and functional.
A number of commercial versions of the famous Applegate-Fairbairn smatchet have been made, this is one of the best, rivalling the much more expensive Al Mar at a fraction of the cost.
