Perfect for long range shots with my Remington .270. My only complainant is they aren't very comfortable on the shoulder. It isn't a big deal if your wearing a thick jacket though. It is very easy to use and retracts without any issues.

Product Info for Caldwell XLA Shooting Rifle Bipods - Fixed Position w/ External Springs
The Caldwell XLA Fixed Position Bipods provide a stable shooting support that conveniently attaches to almost any rifle with a sling swivel stud. The lightweight aluminum design of the Caldwell Bipod adds minimal weight and deploys quickly, with legs that instantly spring out to the shooting position with the touch of a button.
The legs of the bipod are notched for easy indexing to a specific height when attached to a shooting rifle. There is a connection point for Bipods attachment and multi section legs that collapse forward allowing for convenient carry of the firearm. Soft rubber feet provide enhanced stability, and the Caldwell XLA Bipod features a padded base that protects the firearm's forend.
