I bought this because it was perfect for my application. On sale the price was perfect. Only problem was it took more than 9 days to get to me. I do appreciate the free shipping, but these were not big items to ship. Both Bipods probably would have fit in one of those P.O. If It Fits It Ships boxes. Not a lot of communication either.

Industry Standard
Caldwell products continue to be the industry standard, and this XLA bipod is just one example. Easy to install, though you may have to attach your sling pin before attaching the bipod clamp to your sling stud on your stock. It isn't a frustrating sequence to figure it out. If your sling pin doesn't slide in well, as mine didn't, it's easy to drill the hole a bit bigger if your drill bit is rated for steel (blaming too much paint on the sling pin manufacturer). It's better to have this bipod and not need it in one deer stand, than to need it in another stand and not having it.

Easy to order, easy to install, at an excellent price. Very sturdy, easily adjusted. This is my second one.

Exactly as Advertised
Works well once installed. Took a minute (and UTube video) to figure out the rubber piece in the sling attachment point was just a shipping cap, and not part of the Bipod. A set of simple instructions in the box would have really been great.

Good Value Bipod
I recently picked up the Caldwell XLA bipod after reading mostly positive reviews. Having only owned Harris bipods in the past, I didn’t want to pay triple this time and decided to get the Caldwell.
I must say I am pleased with my purchase. For my .17hmr I think this will work just as well as Harris. Quality seems good and legs extend and lock into place just fine. I have yet to get to the range, but initially I am very pleased.
