I have a Celestron Maksutov Telescope C90 1000mm f/11 (from the 70's). Would this mount work for this type of scope? Expert Answer

The Celestron Omni CG-4 Mount for Omni XLT Telescopes is not listed as being compatible with that Telescope. The tripod at the link below is compatible with the current models of that telescope but I recommend contacting Celestron to confirm compatibility with the model you have.

A nice sturdy mount for this price. Simple to assemble. Easy controls. I would recommend purchasing a polar alignment scope and possibly an RA motor if you are going to be using it for any serious amateur astronomy.

Good mount for the price paid. No cons. Celestron C5 works well on the mount. Remove the counterweight bar and the latitude can be set to 0 for easy terrestrial viewing. The quick assembly and breakdown makes it easy for travel.
