I have a Celestron Maksutov Telescope C90 1000mm f/11 (from the 70's). Would this mount work for this type of scope?

The Celestron Omni CG-4 Mount for Omni XLT Telescopes is not listed as being compatible with that Telescope. The tripod at the link below is compatible with the current models of that telescope but I recommend contacting Celestron to confirm compatibility with the model you have.
