The low friction surface prevents tools and other small parts from sliding around. Low friction surfaces also allow gravity to work with you, rather than against you, at the range or in the field. Cerus gear CZ Promats also make great triangulated peg placemats or trigger guard/skirt mats. The material stretches two to three times longer than neoprene and is resistant to chemicals and oils used to lubricate moving parts. Use one of these mats to dry your workbench and protect your workbench and tools. The material is also reversible and non-slip to prevent sliding on a hard surface. Use the "rib" on one side of the mat to crimp a specialized tool or rod to a specific location on your bench. This works for the mats that curve at the corners or are in tight places. The "rib" on the mats backside functions to hold the edges of the mat in place to prevent sliding while the mat is still on your bench. The "rib" also functions as a "skid" to allow you to slide the mat to an angle you prefer. The mats 3mm neoprene construction also allows you to get a good grip on your workbench while the mats rubber feet provide traction.
