Will it fit the 590 Expert Answer

No. The The 835, 590 and newer 500 have a shorter forend than the old 500. This forend will only fit the Mossberg shotguns that have the steel tube in the center that the action bars are welded to. If your forend is held to the action bars by pins and there is no steel tube in the center of your forend when it is removed from the action, then this forend will not fit your gun.

Product Info for Choate Tool Mossberg Short Pistol Grip Forend

The popular Mossberg 500 shotgun has finally been fitted with a short pistol grip forend. This allows the shooter a little more control with out sacrificing the classic lines of this classic shotgun. The grip has a bit of a wider fit on the hand side and a bit narrower in the middle to give a good grip without the shooter getting caught on clothing when shooting. This forend is easily installed by sliding it over the rear of the shotgun just behind the magazine. There are no special adapters for this forend. This one slips over and does not hook up to the top of the receiver - you can grip it with one hand if you wish.image
