Increase your fire power of your shotgun with a Choate magazine extension kit. These kits are constructed of solid blued steel and come with 1 Magazine Extension 6,7,8, 9 or 10 shot, 1 Base Clamp, 1 High Visibility Shell Follower and long spring.

Fits 12 gauge Remington 870/1187/Versamax shotguns, for 20 gauge guns made before 1987 your gun might be made on a 12ga receiver. If your magazine tube will take a 12ga shell then you have one of the older guns that needs the 12ga extension.

Using the 7 shot extension as an example shotgun capacity for a magazine extension is figured 1 round in the chamber and 6 rounds of 2 3/4 inch shells in the magazine tube. The new model Remington 870/1187/Versamax shotguns have dimples that will have to be drilled out with 3/16 drill bit before the spring will extend up into the magazine extension. The older model Remington 870/1100/1187will readily accept our extensions without any alterations.
