You need this mount for the newer Model 70 short actions! by Jake S, Verified Owner, December 3, 2015
As others have stated, this is the mount that you need for the new FN produced Model 70 short actions. Just measured the spacing on my Featherweight .243. The short action hole spacing is too small so you need the slightly longer WSM mount.

This came quick & went on with a little effort. Looks great on rifle. Well designed for the Nikon Monarch 3 that I purchased with it. Pair these 2 together for a lethal combination. I like that it is 1 piece. It fits very secure on the rifle.
