Will it fit in a factory 10/22 stock Manufacturer Answer

This barrel is thinner than most factory 10/22 barrels so it should fit within the inlet of most factory 10/22 stocks. Items like barrel bands may not fit due to the smaller diameter of the barrel.

The pencil profile barrel tapers from .625" (past the chamber area which is .920" diameter) to .500" diameter
The Fluted barrels are tapered from .920" at the chamber area to.585" just before the muzzle thread shoulder.

The barrel I got looked very nice, but appeared to be used and was very dirty. Rifling of the barrel looked to already have carbon buildup. I'm not sure if it was used, but I ended up returning it to not risk it.

Product Info for Faxon Firearms Ruger 10/22 Barrel

One of the pillars of Faxon Firearms is the belief in the Fellowship of Firearms.image

We believe that firearms bring people together and create generational memories. Since the 19th century, the .22 LR has been a perennial favorite for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. That's why we're excited to bring you everything you love about AR and pistol barrels to the beloved "22."

As with all Faxon Barrels, the "Faxon Rimfire" line is made in-house at Faxon Firearms Cincinnati facility from raw bar stock, and undergoes the same rigorous testing and quality control measures that have made Faxon Firearms AR and pistol barrels a market favorite.

These barrels are made from 416-R stainless steel, given 6 Groove Rifling at a 1:16 twist, and a Recessed Target Crown. Barrels are Magnetic Particle Inspected, and are finished in either Salt Bath Nitride or PVD.

To give these Faxon Rimfire barrels Faxon Firearms unique touch, we have adapted 3 of Faxon Firearms most popular barrel profiles from the AR platform to rimfire: Pencil, Straight Fluted, and Faxon Firearms patented Flame Fluted profile.

Faxon Rimfire barrels offer weight-savings to typical factory barrels for 10/22.
