Correct. The Faxon Firearms Smith & Wesson M&P Fullsize Flame Fluted/Threaded 9mm Barrel is not compatible with 5" barrel slides. It is designed to fit any M&P full-size slide that uses a 4.25" factory barrel including the Performance Center - Ported model.

This barrel is designed to fit full size M&P 1.0 and 2.0 pistols with a 4.25" factory barrel. This is the barrel length as measured from the rear of the chamber hood to the muzzle.

This barrel did NOT fit in the slide of my 4.25 m&p9 due to chamber clearance issues. I actually ended up lightly filing / smoothing out the oversized edges on the rear of the barrel to get it to seat correctly into the side.. which it still isn’t 10...

My slide will not rack on my smith and Wesson M2.0 optics ready. I’m pretty disappointed and was looking forward to the barrel. This is not a true drop in replacement barrel. It will require fitting for your slide.
