Arguably one of the most expensive handguns in our database, the FK Field Pistol uses a proprietary 7.5mm cartridge. See the associated cartridge specifications. Its narrow width is a design element taken from the CZ 75 in which the slide rides inside the pistol frame, instead of outside. The pistol uses a linkless, tilt-barrel locking mechanism, similar to the FN/Browning High Power and its derivatives, but with a patented modification intended to attenuate the pistols muzzle rise by directing the center of mass rearward instead of upward. Except for springs and grips, all parts are machined from solid billets of steel alloy. While the gun is intended for use by security forces its profile is not very concealable, with its six inch barrel, sharp pointed trigger guard and extra-long beavertail.
