Fort Scott Munitions was founded in 2016 in Fort Scott, Kansas. In that relatively short amount of time, they've introduced their patented SCS TUI ammo in both handgun and rifle ammo. You can read more about them below, and browse their selection of rifle ammo here!
Fort Scott Munitions is located in Fort Scott, KS, and all products are made in the USA.
TUI ammo stands for "Tumble Upon Impact". Unlike FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) ammunition, TUI is designed to begin tumbling end-over-end upon impact after a few inches of penetration. The FMJ ammo we're all used to will usually penetrate all the way through a target without tumbling, expanding, or leaving a particularly large wound cavity or channel. It's important to point out that TUI ammo doesn't begin to tumble before impact, which results in a loss of accuracy, energy, and "keyholing" on targets.
SCS stands for Solid Copper Spun, a multi-patented non-lead bullet design that meets all nontoxic regulations for hunting. It is also match-grade centerfire rifle ammunition, meaning it's equally suited to target practice, hunting, or defense purposes. It's hard to put all of that into one cartridge, but Fort Scott Munitions has introduced this revolutionary design that will meet all of those needs at once.
