The Galvanis by up-and-comer Franken Forge Blades is making flipper experts drool. "Perfect, and I have no notes" was one comment from a butterfly knife authority. The anodized handles have a unique design that is grooved and jimped for easy control during play, and the American Tanto blade, which has a different shape and a more narrow belly than the Japanese, is a pleasure to wield. The Galvanis will eat up drops, cut like a man-at-arms, and flip like a dream. This is the one! Few small tooling marks on the item from handle to blade...very small but there. My main complaint is the blade is as dull as it can get. It does flips well. Sounds good and looks good while flipping. Perhaps an anodized one would show less imperfection vs what I chose. The maker is new on the scene and will surely get better at manufacturing these over time from what I see here. For now price justifies materials and milling process vs competition. Not best in class as far as usability but certainly not the worst either.![]()
