The Glock OEM Gen5 Dual Recoil Assembly (dblovert) is a replacement OEM Glock part installed on a Glock Gen5 pistol. The Glock OEM Recoil Assembly is the basic function of the OEM parts kit - the recoil assembly is the heart of the Glock operating system. The heavy buffer and heavy recoil spring contribute to the heavy lock weight and back spring force of the pistol. When the firing pin strikes the frame, the springs separate and the frame stays locked in that position, but while firing the pistol still experiences the same dual spring mechanism. The extra length of the Gen5 OEM Recoil Assembly provides a heavier lock load and reduces felt recoil. The extra length also provides a longer over travel, which contributes to the durability of the part.
