No it only fits the FNX 45. You will want the FNS/FNX 40. Yes it is a very durable sight.

The sight was advertised as in stock but it took two weeks before it shipped. I ended up breaking the sight during the installation process. The metal on the sight was soft and it ended up breaking while I was pressing it into the slide.

The Hi-Viz FN45 Illuminated Fiber Optic Night Sight fits the FN-45 with a blade height of .181. It does not fit FNP models.image
