What magnifier can be used with this sight Expert Answer

Any magnifier can be used in conjunction with this optic. It uses a lower 1/3 height mount, so a lower 1/3 height magnifier would be recommended to have them properly align. Many magnifiers such as the Holosun HM3X (linked below) include a spacer for the magnifier mount to increase its centerline height to the lower 1/3 position.

Can this be used on a shotgun platform? Can it handle a 12 gauge Expert Answer

The Holosun AEMS CORE X2 is rated to 5000g of recoil, making it suitable for shotguns. Mounting it to your shotgun will require a flattop picatinny rail. I would also recommend purchasing the low height mount which can be found linked below:
