Product Info for Hornady InterBond Rifle Bullets, 270 Caliber, .277, 130 Grain

We make bullets the old-fashioned way, with a hand clad layer of copper plating held on by a tough nickel-plated jacket. The traditional core-and-jacket design of a traditional bullet is retained and held together by an epoxy process that we call "bonding". The bonding of the core and jacket in the traditional way allows the bullet to retain more than 90% of its mass, even through tough hide and bones. We achieve this with a thicker, tougher jacket. Also, a sleek polymer tip is bonded to the lead core, which allows for accurate placement down range, ensuring you find your target every time. The innovation of the bonding process is that it holds the core and jacket together in a single destructive mass, so the InterBond 270 Caliber .277 130 GR 100 Box will achieve expansion of over twice the original diameter, ensuring high-energy transfer and ultimately, a kill.
