Guns, the outdoors, and old Vietnam War stories told by his father are some of Chase's earliest memories. These memories had such an impact on his childhood that he enlisted in the United States Army upon graduation from High School. In the Army, Chase served in the Infantry and quickly rose to the rank of Sergeant. Upon discharge from active duty he enrolled at Western Illinois University and began his service in the U.S. Army Reserves. His Army Reserve time was spent as a small arms repairmen and squad leader. After graduating from college Chase followed his brother to OpticsPlanet, where he currently works as a product expert.
