I read somewhere that the barrel is stamped 3inch but the reason they say max length 21/2 inch is because AR15 mag wells aren’t big enough to make a 3 inch shell compatible magazine so u could hand load a single round but you can not feed 3 inch shell through a magazine
Followed all the set up directions and got the correct ammo but with the first shot the bolt broke in the chamber rendering the upper useless. I’m hoping for a replacement since the .410 is a great caliber and I’d love to utilize this awesome platfor...

Great fit to my AR family. I have several .410 firearms, but this is my first AR .410. So far I like it.
The only thing to note is the magazine is quite tight and it needs to be pulled out, it doesn’t just drop.

Product Info for IMG AR-15 .410 19.25in Complete Upper Receiver w/10 Roumd Magazine
Turn the Ar-15 into a sub gauge shotgun! Our upper fires .410 shot shells and fits on 5.56 or .223 Ar-15 lowers. Installation is identical to any other upper just drop on your factory lower, use the included bolt carrier group, charging handle, buffer and spring then add the 10 round .410 magazine and thats all it takes to get started. Be sure to check ammo before buying as we have found substantial fluctuations in the over all case length. If you can load it in the mag it will feed. 2.30 inch or less case length worked well in testing. We recommend shooting heavier loads to get your upper broken in. The uppers we tested only needed less than a box of heavy loads before they flawlessly shot the low brass bird shot.
