This bolt carrier pin package includes Enhanced Cam Pin, Firing Pin, and Firing Pin Retainer Pin. Each has undergone a design revision the retains every critical Mil-spec dimension while improving durability, finish and function. These pins are the standard components for all of custom rifle and upper builds.

More about the Enhanced Cam Pin: The JP Enhanced Cam Pin retains every critical dimension of the standard DPMS LR-308 cam pin but improves on design, manufacturing and finish. A smoother operating system with lower overall wear in the components is the result.

In addition to receiving low-friction QPQ finish, Enhanced Cam Pins are also machined thicker than the usual undersized dimension of standard pins. An undersized pin drops right in but allows slop in the relationship between bolt, bolt carrier and cam pin. Looseness in these parts stresses the cam pin hole of the bolt during cycling, which is why bolt breakage is so common at this point. It also wears the cam pin faster as the carrier wears into the material at the bearing points. A tighter pin with low-friction coating cuts all this wear down dramatically.

Finally, we hold the upper receiver-to-cam pin width precisely to keep the bolt in alignment with the barrel. This reduces premature lug wear to the barrel extension.

The revamped head design of this pin also allows for easier assembly/disassembly while also cutting out the typical sloppy play that causes needless receiver wear.

More about the Enhanced Firing Pin Retainer Pin: Easily lost, the standard split-pin design firing pin retainer pin is haunted by poor retention. For decent function, the user must regularly spread apart the pin's split tip. Without this, these pins are prone to falling out whenever the carrier group is removed from the rifle. Typically, such pins are either lost or fracture from regular spreading.

JP-designed and manufactured firing pin retainer pin resolves all retention issues of the standard split-pin component. The cotter-style design offers superior retention and longevity. Its overall length is optimized for JP bolt carriers but is a perfectly functional replacement for the pins in all large-frame bolt carriers of the DPMS LR-308 pattern. Compatibility: This firing pin retainer pin is not compatible with Armalite bolt carriers.
