Product Info for JP Enterprises Short Stroke SCS System Conversion Kit

This kit converts your existing 4-mass JPSCS2-9MM to a 5-mass Short Stroke JPSCS2-9SS-5H3.image

The 9mm Short Stroke Version provides the same reliable buffering as our other 9mm SCS models but with a shorter overall stroke. Designed for competitors looking for every edge, this model offers improved felt recoil and reduced dot movement down range, thanks to the shorter stroke.

You can purchase additional stainless steel (JPSCS2-SM-2) or tungsten (JPSCS2-HM-2) ring weights to alter the overall mass of the buffer system. This allows you to fine tune your operating system to the overall configuration of the rifle as well as the power factor of the ammunition being used.

Note that because of its shorter travel, a short stroke Silent Captured Spring will not actuate the bolt catch on 9mm carbine receivers with last round hold open features, such as the GMR-15, unless you are running a JP 9MM bolt with the new Short Lock feature (JPBC-9SL or JPBC-9SL-SP). But, as our PCC stars always say, if you run your mag. empty at a match, you've done something wrong. Plus, the superior cycling more than makes up for it.

The components in this kit are not compatible with 1st generation Silent Captured Spring systems.
