Kahles is one of the oldest rifle scope and binocular manufacturers in the world. Beginning in 1898, Karl Robert Kahles manufactured, by hand, one of the very first rifle scopes ever. Before long, word of Kahles new device spread and quickly gained a very strong reputation as being one of the best riflescopes created. The Kahles family continued to manage their business until 1974 when there was no one left in their family to heir the company. After which, Fredrich Kahles sold the business to his long time and personal friend Daniel Swarovski. From 1974 to 1988 Kahles scopes became a subsidiary of Swarovski. In 1989, the Kahles brand was registered as an independent company within the Swarovski Optik Group. Kahles now manufactures Kahles scopes, Kahles rifle scopes and Kahles binoculars for avid hunters, campers and bird watchers alike.
Now marketed in the United States as a brand within the Swarovski Optik North American product line, Kahles products are continuing to impress hunters and shooters alike.
