Rear scope mount has a pin for Picatinny slot that prevents it from being mounted on an 11 mm dovetail. No mention anywhere of the pin ???????

Ask and answered. Researched and found that some European centerfire rifles use an 11 mm dovetail, like our rimfires. To stabilize the scope, the receivers have a hole for the scope pin. The pin can be removed with the enclosed T-15 wrench, as it has a slot in the top, accessed by taking the ring apart. Rings are low, might need medium rings to clear the rear sight on some rimfires.

I bought this scope for my 22lr for a smaller scope to use in the field. The scope feels very cheap, the adjustment is less than acceptable and the clarity is very poor. Next time I will spend the extra money for a better quality scope.
