The Konus Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescopes incorporate 4 optical designs in one scope: the lenses of refractors, the mirrors of Newtonians, the compact designs of Schmidt-Cassegrains and the unique exotic design of the Maksutov-Cassegrain. This results in wider viewing fields, sharper imagery and a slightly heavier unit for any given aperture versus a more traditional design. A 3.5" diameter aperture can magnify up to 180x for deep space objects, but is also right at home at 20x for capturing a bird on a branch. The built-in flip mirror system offers a straight-down view of 90°, or flip the mirror for a 45° view by adding the included star diagonal. Your camera can easily be attached to capture the moment.image

This new large diameter Konus MotorMax-150 Maksutov Cassegrain offers images of great quality high resolution and optimum luminosity. It is mounted on an equatorial mount of new design which houses precision electronic motors and has a keyboard that ensures mazimum functional effeciency and superior performance of the telescopes. The Maksutov-Cassegrain with their wide diameter are excellent at satisfying the most demanding astrophiles.
