For what you would pay for a plastic, flip up sight you can buy this one and have a precise, well machined and finished one made out of aluminum. Fits a standard 1913 rail and bolts up solid with NO play whatsoever.

For the price you just can’t beat the UTG sights. As a back up, why would you spend 4 times the price unless you’re deployed somewhere that causes you to drop or smash your rifle on a daily basis? I find them to be reliable and accurate.
