Perfect single stage press. by David, Verified Owner, June 6, 2020

I've owned two lee single stage presses, and I've broke them both. I snapped the super thin cast iron based. All I was doing was resizing 308. Nothing too difficult. This lyman press is at least twice as sturdy. Should last a lifetime (unlike lee)

Product Info for Lyman Brass-Smith Ideal Reloading Press

If you want to start reloading ammo, you need a high-quality Reloading Presses from Lyman. The Brass-Smith Ideal Press is perfect for both beginners and experienced reloaders, as it has a compact design that requires minimal bench space. This means it can be either a primary or supplemental press, depending on your needs.

The rugged frame is made of cast iron and supplemented with steel components, giving it plenty of weight to stay stable while you load each casing. The Brass-Smith Ideal Press also has compound linkage for optimum leverage, as well as a 1-inch diameter ram and a 3.875-inch press opening. This opening fits all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges with a loaded length of up to 3.7 inches.

It is also designed to be convenient to use, with the handle being central to the press for easy ambidextrous use. The Ideal Press accepts all 7/8x14 thread dies and standard shell holders, making it the perfect option for a variety of calibers.
