I've owned two lee single stage presses, and I've broke them both. I snapped the super thin cast iron based. All I was doing was resizing 308. Nothing too difficult. This lyman press is at least twice as sturdy. Should last a lifetime (unlike lee)

The only downside is the amount of leverage offered by this small press, but that would apply to any small press. I have other presses for the heavy stuff, so it's a non-issue for me. Perfect secondary reloading press or for someone starting out with limited space or budget. On sale, it's a no brainer. I feel good that it's cast iron as opposed to aluminum. Perfect for reloading pistol or medium sized rifle cartridges. I just got mine, loaded some 6.5 Grendel ammo with no complaints.

Like the fact that it is cast iron seem like it works very well. I have only loaded a few hundred 223 s no issues and 100 colt 45s works great. I’ve used other Lyman products all are top quality that’s reason for getting press
Pros:
Cast iron very well machined
Cons:
None for me
Best Used for:
decapping hard to remove primers
Would recommend: Yes

As an avid shooter/hunter I own several reloading presses. From single stage to some of the top progressive loaders on the market. This Lyman has to be one of the tops for the price. It’s sturdy, precision built, and pretty compact. I didn’t expect this much quality for the price. I would recommend this product to any one.
Pros:
Sturdy built but compact enough to carry to range if needed
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Seating bullets and depriming.
Would recommend: Yes
