Typically aftermarket buttstocks will use a QD sling mounting system. This specific Magpul Industries Sling Mount Kit is a way to add a QD spot for Magpul UBR and STR stocks. How many of the Type 1 or Type 2 mounts come in the kit? I want the ambidextrous option for a 2-point sling & want to order the correct quantity. Expert Answer

Each type comes with one mount. To run ambidextrous you will need one of each.
