Ruger 10/22 with Magul accessories
I made this purchase based on the reviews that I had read on the Optics Planet site. So thank you to the folks who share their experiences. I am using this sling mount on a Ruger 10/22 take down stock. Coupled with a Magpul, Quick release sling.

Disappointing. Poor quality.
Bought the Type 1 & 2 for a build I'm working on. Machine and finish on each of these are terrible. Knurling doesn't match the picture, nor one another. Come on Magpul you can't even get something this simple correct?!? Very frustrating.

This replaces a nut and creates the backing point so you can have a QD anchor point on both sides of your mag Poole stock.

Great Item that should come with every Magpul Stock
I bought a couple of these recently. You use them with a 'Type 1' sling mount to get ambi QD Mounts. One was for a Magpul SGA stock and the other was for a Magpul Ruger-PCC Backpacker stock. Both stocks provide mounting points for these QD mounts but the mounts are not included. These work just fine but do NOT limit rotation. Would be 5 stars if they limited rotation to prevent you from getting tangled up.

Kinda pricey, but good.
I bought both sides to allow for an ambidextrous set up. It gets a bit pricey when you’re buying four, but the quality is good. I believe Magpul should include these with the Backpacker stock. They sit a little proud of the stock when installed.

This won't work by itself!
This type 2 mount requires the use of also a Type 1 and the screws. That wasn't clear to me. Now I have to spend more money. I expected more for $22. This doesn't come with anything so I wouldn't call it a "kit"

Magpul's QD sling mount did the trick
I added this QD mount on my Magpul STR buttstock, giving me ambidextrous capability.
It installed very easily and I am completely satisfied with both this mount and my
purchasing experience with Optics Planet.
