Is this the same housing that would come with the SCW pistol brace set up? I have the SCW BCG, buffer and spring that came with my Maxim Defense SCW. Expert Answer

This Maxim Defense Industries CQB Housing is only compatible with the CQB brace or stock. There is a different SCW housing which we currently do not have available.

will this fit on a regular pistol length buffer tube or do you have to buy the tube from maxim defense ? Expert Answer

The Maxim Defense Industries CQB Housing will not fit a regular pistol length buffer tube, and you will need the Maxim Defense buffer tube.

I purchased a Maxin Defense pistol brace but it wasn't the CQB version and I ended up with a really jank setup to mount a sling. This housing eliminated the ugly, thrown together setup and allowed for a simple qd sling setup.
