Product Info for Meade StarNavigator 130mm Reflector Telescope with AudioStar

The Meade StarNavigator 130mm Refractor Telescope 20094 is a fully computer-guided telescope that knows its way around the sky from the moment you take it out of the box. This easy-to-operate GO TO telescope features the lightweight, portable and reliable DS-2000 single arm robotic mount and Meade AudioStar Computer Keypad. Just turn on the Meade StarNavigator Telescope, and after a brief alignment procedure, your telescope is ready to take you to any object in its over 30,000 object library or take you on a guided tour of the heavens. The Meade StarNavigator Refractor Telescope will let you see more objects in one night than Galileo saw in a lifetime.image

The Meade StarNavigator 130mm Refracting Telescope features a lens diameter of 130mm (3.5") for bright, high contrast images. Standard equipment on this portable but high quality instrument includes the Meade AudioStar computer keypad with over 30,000 object library, over 500 audio presentation files on various objects, AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition Software and Instructional DVD, and an easy to use red dot viewfinder.

The Meade 130mmm StarNavigator Refractor Telescope comes with a solidly-built metal mount featuring advanced electronics to make alignment easy, including an internal clock, while the full size and adjustable height aluminum tripod allows comfortable viewing from either a seated or standing position. The mount is conveniently powered from the included internal battery pack which holds eight (user supplied) "AA" batteries. The generous light gathering ability of this scope combined with the enhanced electronics package means this may be all the telescope the casual observer might ever need or require. This 3.5" diameter refracting telescope is also well suited for use as a terrestrial spotting scope - great for a home with a view, nature watching, or other ground-based applications. For these or other daytime uses an optional Meade #928 Image Erecting Prism #07217 may be used and is recommended. This specialty diagonal results in a non-inverted (upright and correct left to right image) image which is highly desirable for many daytime applications.

The Meade 130mm StarNavigator Refractor Telescope carries full one year Meade factory limited warranty.
