The Midwest Industries AK 47/74 Generation 2 Trijicon MRO Quick Detach Modular AK Scope Mount is designed to put the optic on center or extremely close to center of the top cover on mil-spec built AK rifles. You may be able to use your iron sights but they will only be visible in the lower 1/5 - 1/3 of your optic window, depending on your specific rifle.

The mount is solid, perfectly fits the MRO in front of the rear iron sight on my Arsenal SAM7K. If only the mount would allow for left to right adjustment it would have gotten 5 stars.

This mount provided just enough space in front of the dust-cover rear sight on my SAM7K-44R for my MRO to sit. The sight is well centered from left to right and is solid. I would definitely purchase this cantilever style mount again!
