Please reach out to manufacturer directly for information on where this item is made. yes you should more than likely use the wool setting on the washing machine, but you should always confirm washing instructions usually placed on the items tag.

These blankets are sturdy and warm. They are nothing fancy but they are great for keeping in a vehicle or as a spare if you need some extra warmth. These are also good for going camping. My family loves them.

Bought for emergency purposes. Nice, new, medium weight blankets. I should buy more. At least one in each car and the rest in my emergency area. I also use one for my outdoor shooting sports and one to cover my shooting gear in the back of my suv.
