These buffers are meant for standard carbine buffer tubes, so no it should not require a spacer.

My .300BLK (10.5”) is currently under gassed. Even running suppressed, im still not getting it to cycle. Will this product solve it? Expert Answer

If the buffer weight is your problem, then this buffer assembly (the heavy model) should allow you to tune your rifle to function as intended. However, we cannot guarantee that the buffer in your rifle is causing the issue. If you are using a standard AR15 carbine buffer, then it is 100% a good idea to use a heavier buffer for 300 Blackout, especially suppressed. My PSA was over gassed. Was throwing brass forward and had a funky recoil. I threw this in with the two steel weights and it shoot amazing now. Can string string together shots much easier and helps with muzzle rise as well.
